TORONTO and NEW YORK, June 8, 2021 – Alessa, a leading provider of AML compliance and fraud prevention solutions, has been named to the 2021 CyberTech100 list, which was revealed on Tuesday, June 8.

Cybertech100 2021 Award

In its second year, the annual CyberTech100 list recognizes the world’s most innovative providers of digital solutions helping financial services firms fight off cyber-attacks and protect their data. Winners were determined by a panel of analysts and industry experts who voted from a list of over 1,000 companies produced by FinTech Global. Each finalist was assessed based on its innovative use of technology to solve a significant industry problem, growth in terms of capital raised, revenue, customer traction, potential cost savings, and efficiency improvements generated for clients and across the broader security value chain.

“Security executives working in financial services need to be aware of the latest innovation and threats in the market in order to protect client and company data as well as fend off cyber and financial criminals,” said Richard Sachar, director at FinTech Global. “The CyberTech100 list helps them do just that and identify new technologies which will have a lasting impact on the industry and attackers’ behavior.”

“For financial firms and corporates, it has been difficult to keep up to date with changes to various regulatory guidance, however, regulators have maintained that effective AML compliance programs must be upheld,” said Andrew Simpson, Chief Operating Officer of Alessa. “We are very happy to be recognized as part of this year’s CyberTech100, which shows our dedication to ensuring that businesses have the highest level of compliance monitoring and fraud prevention solutions in place despite ongoing disruptions to their operations.”

Recently, Alessa was named a winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Governance, Risk & Compliance Solution category at the Annual American Business Awards, and the Company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Andrew Simpson, was named one of the Top 25 RegTech Executives of 2020 by The Financial Technology Report.

Alessa is currently a Finalist for Best AML Compliance Solution Provider in the 2021 Waters Rankings with voting closing on July 11, 2021.
